    KNITTING & CROCHET PROJECTS

Just want to know if this hooddie could be done with kitty ears?? I dont want to include ears and make it look withs weird-ugly shape…. Just add that bit in the hat will be one stitch wider for the whole hat length and do not count or work into it on the rounds. All the best, Rhondda. Hi, I have a few questions about the pattern. At the end of each round, do you join with a slip stitch? Do you chain 2 at the beginning of each round? If so, does the chain count as a stitch? Hi Meaghan. Actually it does add up correctly.

After Round 4 you have 32 stitches. If you read Round 5 it indicates you only increase 3x three times then work 1 hdc in each remaining stitch around. This means you are only increasing the total stitches from R4 by 3 more. This gives you If you misread the instructions and increase all the way around the hat you will have too many stitches and the hat will not be the right size.

This is why we only add 3 extra in R5. I hope this helps. R4: 2 hdc in 1st st, 1 hdc in each of the next 2 sts 8x [32] R5: 2 hdc in 1st st, 1 hdc in each of the next 3sts 3x, 1 hdc in each remaining st [35]. This is not normal and should not happen.
